Transforming The Atrium | New Renovations Announcement!

The Kelemen Company is pleased to announce the completion of major environmental, architectural and amenity-based improvements to The Atrium office project in Irvine. The property strategically located less than a mile from John Wayne Airport in Orange County’s premier business hub is setting a new performance bar in terms of sustainability, amenities, and convenience.

The recently completed solar energy installation includes 2,021 panels that will generate over 1000kw of energy, substantially reducing the Atrium’s carbon footprint, and is expected to generate over $250,000 in power savings in the first year. The Kelemen Company teamed up with SunGreen Systems to build what is now one of the largest solar parking garages in Orange County.

While the Atrium has long been known as one of Orange County’s most distinctive architectural designs, the recent removal of the exterior Colonnades allowed for the complete renovation of the building’s entry and common areas. Along with bringing in more natural light to both sides of the building, the upgrade includes new seating areas, a water feature, contemporary hardscape, and lush landscaping, all designed to provide a more inviting environment and leisure experience for tenants and their guests.

Interior improvements are also part of the Atrium’s new look. The fully-furnished 925-square-foot conference center can seat up to 58 people, but it can be divided for smaller group functions. The facility includes two 65-inch TV monitors, an in-ceiling sound system, an overhead projector, an electric projection screen and wireless presentation devices for all components. With this important amenity on-site, some tenants will be able to take less space and reduce occupancy costs.

Adding to the list of the project’s amenities is the new 5,000-square-foot Atrium fitness facility. Equipment provided includes a wide variety of state-of-the-art cardio equipment, free weights and weight machines, Fitness On Demand spin and yoga classes, along with lockers and showers. Live group fitness classes will begin soon in the direction of Ryan Hall, Creative Director for the facility and co-founder of Live Motion Fitness of Orange County. The class schedule has been designed to include a variety of group fitness classes along with early morning yoga sessions led by highly skilled yoga instructors from local boutique studios, all with an eye on providing a better standard in corporate fitness options.

Together, these big changes at the Atrium make it one of the most amenity-rich office properties in Orange County. In today’s tight employment market and the younger generation of workers, amenities like those at the Atrium can make a difference for businesses looking to attract and retain the people they need to grow and thrive.
